Kingambit Joins Pokémon Go’s Crown Clash Event Next Month: Exciting Updates from Pocket Gamer

Pokémon Go is set to feature Kingambit during the upcoming Crown Clash event, which will run from May 10th to 18th. This event promises to be a royal affair, allowing players to evolve into the powerful Big Blade Pokémon while also introducing costumed variants of Nidoqueen and Nidoking.

To add Kingambit to your roster, you must evolve Bisharp as your buddy and defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. It’s important to note that while Bisharp doesn’t need to engage in battle, it must accompany you for the required victories to trigger the evolution.

In addition to Kingambit, players can look forward to encountering Nidoqueen and Nidoking in their regal costumes as part of the event. Hunting for their shiny variants will add an extra layer of excitement as these adorned Pokémon will take center stage in three-star raids, while the one-star raids will feature Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard.

The wild will also be buzzing with activity. Expect to see frequent spawns of Pokémon like Slowpoke, Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, and Litleo.

With a bit of luck, you might also come across Pawniard more often. Trainers should take advantage of the double XP for evolving Pokémon during this event.

With themed Field Research tasks and a catch-and-evolve Collection Challenge, you can earn extra XP, Stardust, and opportunities to catch Pawniard. Trainers level 31 and up will have added benefits, including guaranteed Candy XL for completing the challenge.

Don’t forget to visit PokéStops, where event-themed Showcases will allow you to display your crown-worthy captures. Be sure to check out special deals in the Pokémon Go Web Store to prepare for the exciting event ahead.
