CrazyGames, in collaboration with Photon, is excited to announce the launch of the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, a 10-day global game development event running from April 25th to May 5th. This initiative invites indie developers to create innovative web-based multiplayer games, focusing on leveraging Photon’s industry-leading multiplayer technology. Participants in the jam will have the opportunity to compete for a total prize pool of €10,000, along with premium Photon licenses. The prizes include 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year valued at €7,500, 500 CCU for a year valued at €1,500, and 100 CCU for a year valued at €100.
The event encourages creativity, with the only requirements being that games must be developed and submitted within the jam’s timeframe while adhering to PEGI 12 rating standards. Since its launch in 2014, CrazyGames has become a popular free online gaming platform, utilizing technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL to provide seamless browser-based gaming experiences. During the jam, the winning games will be published on the CrazyGames platform, further enhancing exposure for developers. To kick off the event, a pre-jam livestream will take place on April 24th at 4 PM CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn.
This session will provide developers with insights into Photon’s new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Photon Engine’s Head of Growth, emphasized the potential for WebGL games to reach new heights in popularity and views, making this jam a prime opportunity for innovation in the gaming space. Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and accessible to game developers of all experience levels. Interested developers can find more information and register through the official jam page.
