Honor of Kings is set to make a grand return at the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) with an impressive prize pool of $3 million. This tournament will feature 18 teams competing for the top honors, and the final showdown is scheduled for August 16th.

The Esports World Cup 2025 is shaping up to be a historic occasion in mobile esports. Alongside popular titles like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Honor of Kings adds another layer of excitement to the summer tournament taking place in Riyadh.

With a newly established three-year partnership with EWC, the Honor of Kings World Cup will introduce an expanded format that promises to deliver even more exhilarating gameplay. The competition will kick off on July 15th and run until July 26th.

It will start with a Group Stage featuring 16 teams divided into four double-elimination brackets. Only the top team from each group will advance directly to the Playoffs, while the second-placed teams will compete in a Last Chance bracket for the remaining two playoff spots.

During the initial rounds, matches will follow best-of-three and best-of-five formats, culminating in the Playoffs where the champions of the King Pro League and Asian Champions League await their opponents. The playoff rounds, scheduled to be a best-of-seven bracket, will also include a third-place match.

Qualifying events are already underway, with regional leagues in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East sending their top squads to compete in Riyadh. Teams from Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia are among those vying for a chance to participate in this prestigious tournament.
