Pokémon Go is set to introduce exciting new Adventure Effects for Zacian and Zamazenta during the upcoming Go Fest 2025. These powerful forms, known as the Crowned versions, are not just a visual upgrade but also come with unique moves named Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash. The event begins on July 13, 2025, and will allow players to take advantage of these new features. To unlock the Crowned forms of Zacian and Zamazenta, players must collect 1,000 units of either Crowned Sword Energy or Crowned Shield Energy.
This can be achieved through participation in five-star raids or Special Research tasks throughout the Go Fest. Activating the new Adventure Effects will cost 5,000 Stardust and five Candy per use, providing a significant short-term boost in raids and Max Battles. The effects last for six minutes, enhancing Crowned Sword Zacian’s offensive capabilities or boosting Crowned Shield Zamazenta’s defenses. In addition to their roles in raids, the Crowned versions will also play a crucial part in Max Battles.
Although they cannot undergo Dynamax transformations, their signature moves will operate similarly to Max Attacks, allowing for strategic gameplay. Players can also level up special Guard and Spirit moves unique to this new format. Zacian and Zamazenta will feature prominently in five-star raids during the festival, giving players the opportunity to earn Crowned Energy when they defeat them. The announcement of the new Adventure Effects coincides with Pokémon Go’s ninth anniversary, which will see the return of birthday-themed Pokémon and various in-game rewards.
As July approaches, Pokémon Go trainers can look forward to a vibrant and action-packed month. The game is available for download for free, with plenty of resources offered in the Pokémon Go Web Store to prepare for the upcoming festivities.
