King’s Raid to Make a Comeback After Acquisition by Masangsoft

King’s Raid, a beloved mobile RPG, is making a comeback following its acquisition by Masangsoft. The game, which ended its service on April 15th, has captured the hearts of many players since its launch in 2017 by offering a unique hero collection system instead of traditional gacha mechanics. With immersive real-time 3D battles, an intricate storyline, and high-quality character designs, it quickly garnered a dedicated fanbase, especially in Japan and Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, operational issues forced its closure earlier this month.

Masangsoft finalized its acquisition of the King’s Raid intellectual property on March 17th and is already in the process of developing a global relaunch. While specific details about the relaunch have yet to be disclosed, the company has promised that more information will be available soon. Set in the expansive continent of Orbis, the narrative revolves around Kasel, a young knight-in-training on a quest to find his missing brother. He is joined by childhood friend Frey, magician Cleo, and bodyguard Roi.

Their adventure unfolds through a captivating story filled with alliances, betrayals, and epic battles, which climaxes in high-stakes confrontations and further explores the rich lore of the Vespian Empire in subsequent seasons. In terms of gameplay, players will have the opportunity to create teams from a diverse roster of heroes categorized into seven distinct classes. Each class possesses unique roles and skills, leading to a comprehensive RPG experience featuring real-time PvP, colossal raid battles, and extensive customization options. While Masangsoft has not yet outlined specific changes for the relaunch, players can anticipate a revitalized version that honors the essence of the original RPG.
